અમદાવાદ, વડોદરા, રાજકોટ, સુરત ખાતેની કેન્સર હોસ્પિટલમાં તબીબી સારવાર માટે દર્દીઓ અને તેમના સહાયકોને સામાન્ય બસ ભાડામાં ૫૦% રાહતની સુવિધા

કોઈ પણ નાગરિકને આકસ્મિક જીવલેણ બીમારી થાય ત્યારે રાજ્ય સરકારના આયુષ્માન કાર્ડ દ્વારા નાગરિક તેની સારવાર કરાવી શકે છે. જો કોઈ નાગરિકને કેન્સર જેવી બીમારી થઈ જાય તો ગુજરાત રાજ્ય વાહન વ્યવહાર નિગમની બસોમાં કેન્સરના દર્દીઓ અને તેના સહાયકોને એક ખાસ પ્રકારની ભાડામાં છૂટછાટ આપવામાં આવે છે.

મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલ નેતૃત્વ અને વાહન વ્યવહાર રાજ્ય મંત્રી  હર્ષ સંઘવીના માર્ગદર્શનમાં એસ. ટી નિગમ દ્વારા કેન્સરના દર્દીઓને રાહત દરે મુસાફરી માટે એક ખાસ સેવા આપવામાં આવી રહી છે. કેન્સરના દર્દીઓને અથવા તેમના સહાયક સાથે એસ.ટી બસમાં તેમના નિવાસસ્થાનેથી અમદાવાદ, વડોદરા, રાજકોટ, સુરત ખાતેની કેન્સર હોસ્પિટલમાં તબીબી સારવાર માટે તેઓને સામાન્ય બસ ભાડામાં ૫૦% રાહતનો લાભ આપવામાં છે. આ યોજનાનો લાભ છેલ્લા ત્રણ વર્ષમાં રાજ્યના ૩.૫ લાખથી વધુ કેન્સરના દર્દીઓ અને તેમના સહાયકોએ લીધો છે.

આ યોજનાનો લાભ લેવા કેન્સરના દર્દીને સાદા પેપર પર એપ્લિકેશન કરવાની રહેશે જેમાં તેને સિવિલ સર્જનનો પ્રમાણપત્ર જોડીને નજીકના એસ.ટી બસ સ્ટેશન પર આપવાનું રહેશે.

When any citizen suffers from a sudden fatal illness, the citizen can get it treated through the Ayushman Card of the state government. If a citizen suffers from a disease like cancer, then a special type of fare concession is given to cancer patients and their attendants in the buses of Gujarat State Transport Corporation.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the guidance of Minister of State for Transport Harsh Sanghvi, S. T Corporation is providing a special service for cancer patients to travel at a concessional rate. Cancer patients or their attendants along with their attendants are being given the benefit of 50% concession in normal bus fare from their residence to cancer hospitals in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surat. More than 3.5 lakh cancer patients and their caregivers in the state have taken advantage of this scheme in the last three years.

To take advantage of this scheme, the cancer patient will have to apply on a plain paper, in which he will have to attach a certificate from the Civil Surgeon and submit it at the nearest ST bus station.
