અમદાવાદ વિમાન દુર્ઘટનામાં ભોગ બનેલા ગીરગઢડાનાં મોટાં સમઢિયાળાનાં દંપતિની અંતિમ વિધી અમદાવાદમાં કરાઈ 

ગીર ગઢડા તાલુકાના મોટા સમઢીયાળા ગામના રવજીભાઇ શંભુભાઇ ચોવટીયા , શારદાબેન રવજીભાઇ ચોવટીયાનું મોત થયું હતું 

ગીર ગઢડા નાં મોટા સમઢિયાળા ગામનાં મુળ વતની અને જુનાગઢ કૃષિ યુનિવર્સીટી નાં નિવૃત અધિકારી અમદાવાદ પ્લેન ક્રેશ દુર્ધટનામાં મોત નિપજતાં તેમનું ડી એન એ મળી જતાં બન્ને પતિ પત્નિ નાં મૃતદેહ પરીવારને સોંપણી કરાતા મૃતકના પુત્ર પુત્રી અને વિશાળ સંખ્યામાં સગાંસંબંધીઓ ની હાજરી વચ્ચે અમદાવાદ ખાતે અંતિમ સંસ્કાર કરાયાં હતાં આ તકે સોમનાથ જિલ્લા વહીવટી તંત્રએ ચોવટીયા પરિવારને આ દુઃખની ઘડીમાં સાંત્વના આપી હતી 

 અમદાવાદથી લંડનની ઉડાન ભરી રહેલું એર ઇન્ડિયાનું બોઇંગ 171 વિમાન ટેકઓફ થયાની 2 મિનિટમાં ગુરુવારે બપોરે 1:40 કલાકે મેઘાણીનગર આઇજીપી કંપાઉન્ડમાં ક્રેશ થયું હતું. આ પ્લેનમાં 240થી વધુ પેસેન્જર અને ક્રૂ મેમ્બર હતા. આ પ્લેનમાં ગીર સોમનાથ જિલ્લાના કુલ-૫ પેસેન્જર હતા.જે પૈકી ૩(ત્રણ) પેસેન્જર ગીર ગઢડા તાલુકાના હતા.આ ત્રણ મૃતકો પૈકી મોટા સમઢીયાળા ગામનાં રવજીભાઇ શંભુભાઇ ચોવટીયા તથા શારદાબેન રવજીભાઇ ચોવટીયાનું અમદાવાદ ખાતે થયેલા દુર્ભાગ્યપૂર્ણ પ્લેનક્રેશમાં દુઃખદ અવસાન થયાં છે. 

જીલ્લા વહીવટીતંત્ર દ્વારા પરિવારજનોનો સંપર્ક કરી સાંત્વના પાઠવવામાં આવી હતી. મૃતકોની બોડી લઈ આવવા તથા સમગ્ર કાર્યવાહી માટે પ્રાંત અધિકારી ,ઉના ને નોડલ અને મામલતદાર, ગીર ગઢડાને સહ નોડલ તરીકે નિમણૂક કરવામાં આવી હતી. મૃતકના પરિવાર સાથે સંકલનની કામગીરી માટે બે ડોક્ટર તથા એક નાયબ મામલતદારની ટીમને અમદાવાદ ખાતે મોકલવામાં આવી હતી. આ ટીમ દ્વારા મૃતકના પરિવારજનો સાથે રહીને સંકલન કરવામાં આવેલ જેમાં બંને મૃતકોનાં ડી.એન.એ. મેચ થતાં મૃતકના પરિવારને તા.૧૭/૬/૨૦૨૫ના રોજ બપોરનાં બોડી સુપરત કરવામાં આવી હતી.જેની મૃતકની પુત્ર-પુત્રી તથા સગા-સબંધી તથા ૫રિવાર દ્વારા નકકી થયા મુજબ અમદાવાદ ખાતે અંતિમ સંસ્કાર કરાયાં હતાં.

મૃતકનાં પુત્ર-પુત્રી, ૫રીવારનાં સભ્યો તથા સગા-સબંધીઓ મોટી સંખ્યામાં હાજર હતા. તેમજ ગીર ગઢડાની ટીમનાં સભ્યો ૫ણ દિવંગતની અંતિમ યાત્રામાં જોડાઈ અને તેમના પરિવારને મળીને સાંત્વના આપી હતી અને દુઃખની આ પળોમાં સહાનુભૂતિ વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. જિલ્લા વહીવટી તંત્ર દ્વારા પરિવારને શક્ય તમામ સુવિધાઓ પુરી પાડવામાં આવી હતી.

The last rites of the couple from Mota Samadhiyala of Girgadhada, who were victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash, were performed in Ahmedabad.

Ravjibhai Shambhubhai Chovatiya and Shardaben Ravjibhai Chovatiya, residents of Mota Samadhiyala village of Girgadhada taluka, died.

A native of Mota Samadhiyala village of Girgadhada and a retired officer of Junagadh Agricultural University, who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash, were handed over to the family after their DNA was found. The bodies of both husband and wife were handed over to the family. The last rites were performed in Ahmedabad in the presence of the deceased's son, daughter and a large number of relatives. On this occasion, the Somnath district administration consoled the Chovatiya family in this hour of grief.

Air India's Boeing 171 aircraft, flying from Ahmedabad to London, crashed 2 minutes after takeoff on Thursday afternoon. The plane crashed at 1:40 pm in the Meghaninagar IGP compound. There were more than 240 passengers and crew members in this plane. There were a total of 5 passengers from Gir Somnath district in this plane. Out of which 3 (three) passengers were from Gir Gadhada taluka. Out of these three deceased, Ravjibhai Shambhubhai Chovatiya and Shardaben Ravjibhai Chovatiya, the eldest of the three, died in the unfortunate plane crash in Ahmedabad.

The district administration contacted the family and expressed condolences. The Prant Officer, Una was appointed as the nodal and Mamlatdar, Gir Gadhada was appointed as the co-nodal for bringing the bodies of the deceased and for the entire procedure. A team of two doctors and a deputy Mamlatdar was sent to Ahmedabad for coordination with the family of the deceased. This team coordinated with the family of the deceased, in which the DNA of both the deceased was matched and the body was handed over to the family of the deceased on 17/6/2025 in the afternoon. The last rites were performed in Ahmedabad as decided by the son-daughter and relatives of the deceased and the family.

The son-daughter, family members and relatives of the deceased were present in large numbers. Also, the members of the Gir Gadhada team also joined the last journey of the deceased and met his family and consoled them and expressed their sympathy in this moment of grief. The district administration provided all possible facilities to the family.
