Delhi Yamuna River Cleaning : દિલ્હી વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણીમાં આમ આદમી પાર્ટીનો સફાયો કરી ભાજપે ભવ્ય જીત મેળવી લીધા બાદ હજુ સુધી મુખ્યમંત્રીના નામની જાહેરાત કરી નથી, પણ દિલ્હીવાસીઓને સૌથી મોટી રાહત આપવાની કામગીરી શરુ કરી દીધી છે. દિલ્હીવાસીઓનો સૌથી મોટો મુદ્દો યમુના નદીની સ્વચ્છતાનો હતો. વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ પણ યમુના નદીને સ્વચ્છ બનાવવાનું ચૂંટણી વખતે વચન આપ્યું હતું. 

પીએમ મોદીના વચનને ધ્યાને રાખી ઉપરાજ્યપાલ વી.કે.સક્સેનાએ ‘યમુનામાં સફાઇ અભિયાન’ શરૂ કરી દીધી છે. સક્સેનાએ કહ્યું કે, ‘પીએમ મોદીએ આપેલા વચન પર કામ શરૂ થઈ ગયું છે. તેમણે મુખ્ય સચિવ સાથે વાત કરી હતી અને સફાઈ અભિયાન પર ઝડપી કામ કરવા માટે ચર્ચા કરી હતી.’

યમુના નદીને સ્વચ્છ બનાવવા મોટા મશીનોનો ઉપયોગ

યમુના નદીની સફાઈ અભિયાનના કેટલાક વીડિયો પણ સોશિયલ મીડિયામાં વાયરલ થયા છે, જેમાં મોટા-મોટા મશીનો દ્વારા નદીમાંથી કચરો હાટવવાની કામગીરી જોવા મળી રહી છે. ટ્રૈશ સ્કિમર્સ, વીડ હાર્વેસ્ટર્સ અને ડ્રેજ યૂટિલિટી ક્રાફ્ટ જેવા મશીનો દ્વારા નદીની સફાઈ શરૂ કરી દેવાઈ છે. 

દિલ્હીના ઉપરાજ્યપાલે ગઈકાલે મુખ્ય સચિવ અને આઈ એન્ડ એફસી (ACS)ના અધિકારીઓ સાથે બેઠક કરી હતી, જેમાં તેમણે નદીની સફાઈ માટે ઝડપી કામ કરવાનો આદેશ આપ્યો હતો.

Big machines used to clean Yamuna river

Some videos of the Yamuna river cleaning campaign have also gone viral on social media, in which large machines are seen removing garbage from the river. Machines like trash skimmers, weed harvesters and dredge utility craft have started cleaning the river. The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi yesterday held a meeting with the Chief Secretary and officials of I & FC (ACS), in which he ordered speedy work for the cleaning of the river.
