સનાતન ધર્મમાં સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાને ખૂબ જ વિશેષ માનવામાં આવે છે. અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે સ્નાન, દાન અને પૂજાનું વિશેષ મહત્ત્વ રહેલું છે.આ વખતે સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યા 2જી ઓક્ટોબરે છે. સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે પિતૃઓને તર્પણ વિધિ કરાવવી ખૂબ જ શુભ માનવામાં આવે છે.

સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના આગળના દિવસથી જ નવરાત્રિના 9 શુભ દિવસો શરૂ થઈ જશે. જેમાં માતા દુર્ગાની પૂજા ઉપાસના કરવામાં આવે છે.જ્યોતિષોના કહેવા પ્રમાણે સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે કેટલીક ભૂલો ન થાય તેની સાવધાની રાખવી જોઈએ. તો ચાલો જાણીએ સર્વ પિતૃ અમાસના દિવસે શું શું ધ્યાનમાં રાખવું જોઈએ. 

સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે મોડા સુધી સૂવું ન જોઈએ. અને વહેલા ઉઠીને સ્નાન કરી પિતૃ દેવની પૂજા કરવી જોઈએ. બની શકે તો આ દિવસે પીપળાને જળ ચડાવવું જોઈએ. 

સર્વ પિતૃ અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે તામસિક ભોજન ગ્રહણ ન કરવું જોઈએ. જેમ કે ડુંગળી, લસણ, માંસ તેમજ દારુનું સેવન ન કરવું જોઈએ. 

આ ઉપરાંત આ દિવસે વાળ તેમજ નખ ન કાપવાં જોઈએ. આવું કરવાથી ખૂબ જ અશુભ માનવામાં આવે છે. 

અમાવસ્યાના દિવસે કોઈની સાથે લડાઈ ઝઘડો ન કરવો જોઈએ.

ગરીબોની સેવા કરવી જોઈએ. વડીલોનું સન્માન કરવું જોઈએ.

Navratri is a nine-day-long festival that begins on Amavasya Tithi, the ninth day of Navratri. 

In Hinduism, Amavasya is considered very special. On the day of Amavasya, bathing, donation and worship are of special importance. This year, Sarva Pitru Amavasya falls on October 2. It is considered very auspicious to offer prayers to the ancestors on the day of Amavasya.

The 9 auspicious days of Navratri will begin from the next day of Amavasya. Maa Durga is worshipped on this day. According to astrologers, one should be careful not to make some mistakes on the day of Amavasya. So let's know what to keep in mind on the day of Amavasya. 

All parents should not sleep late on the day of Amavasya. And get up early, take a bath and worship the Father. If possible, water should be provided on this day. 

Tamasik food should not be taken on the day of Amavasya. For example, onions, garlic, meat and alcohol should not be consumed. 

Also, do not cut your hair and nails on this day. This is considered very inauspicious. 

On the day of Amavasya, there should be no quarrel with anyone.

We have to serve the poor. Elders should be respected.
